Help on the Sony HDR-HC9? How do I get camcorder tape onto computer?
Nov 06

Where can I find a Canon camcorder that I can plug directly into the computer? I’ve a DVD recorder but it does not play the DVD on the computer.

Answer:
iridflare is correct… but to answer your question directly, any camcorder that uses a hard drive or flash memory camcorder can plug in to your computer using USB for replicating video data files and any camcorder using miniDV or Digital8 tape can plug in to your computer if your computer has a firewire port for importing digital video from the digital tape. These can be pretty much any camcorder from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Samsung, JVC and most others…

Answer:
if you find any type of mini dv camcorder, that has a “Firewire” port then you can connect it straight to your computer, as long as your computer has a fire wre port. they look betwwen a usb and a dsL port.

Hoped this helpd.

Ive just purchased the Canon dm-xm2. beuatiful camcorder, try ebay my friend, just make sure its an official on the internet shop.

Answer:
You need to finalise the DVD in the camcorder before it'll play in anything other than the camcorder. Once it's finalised you can't record anything more on it.
